Architecture studio · practice site
An editorial site for an architecture studio, anchored by a courtyard house maquette that opens to reveal its section.

The brief
What it had to do.
Architecture sites usually bury the work under a slideshow. The brief was an editorial layout where the building is the first thing you understand.
Design approach
The decisions behind it.
- Limestone and charcoal, with clay used only for emphasis
- Editorial serif headings against a quiet sans for project data
- Oversized project numbers and asymmetric image grids
Signature interaction
Architectural maquette that opens into an exploded section
A short bounded scroll lifts the roof to reveal the courtyard, then the page continues normally. Exterior and courtyard views are also plain buttons.
On a phone
Usable before anything loads.
One considered static camera on phones, with the interactive view optional.
